Stamp 1G Extension Support
Out of graduate time on Stamp 1G? Assess a discretionary extension.
A Stamp 1G extension, formally an Extension of Student Conditions, is a discretionary request for extra time once your Third Level Graduate Programme allowance is fully used up. It is not the ordinary Level 9 second year, and it is never automatic.
This call is the initial assessment. Our team check whether you have a genuine exceptional ground, most often an employment permit already in train, a serious illness, or a compassionate or financial hardship, and whether the timing is right. If it stacks up, we build and run the application for you.

The route at a glance
Confirm the programme is used up
You need to have completed your full graduate allowance, 12 months for a Level 8 award or 24 for a Level 9 or higher. A Master's or PhD graduate still in year one just needs an ordinary renewal instead.
Find your exceptional ground
The case rests on it: a permit already lodged or imminent, a serious illness during your 1G, or a genuine compassionate or financial hardship, each backed by evidence.
Get the timing right
Around ten weeks before expiry, while you still hold permission. Too early is refused as premature, too late risks your status.
We build and file the application
ISD no longer accepts a one-line request, so we draft a detailed, structured submission, lodge it online, and plan a parallel permit route in case it is refused.
